yo2...back to posting about well nothing really. just finished with exams and now on attachments. as busy as A&E(SGH) was, i quite like it. and i was scared the living crap out of me to go there initially cos of "pressure to perform in a tense environment" it is pressurise as in the work but the staffs there are nice so it kind of release the pressure/workload. tired, shagged and sleepy yet i find it one of the most fun attachment i have ever been to(except A&E Ortho-it was the most dull..lols)i guess its down to the good staffs. good people all around in there..thumbs up from me..:)
as PRCP approaches and starting real staffnurse work in under 7months i have been thinking which department to go to launch my nursing career. so far in random order of 3-A&E,55(urology and HEENT) and possibly my PRCP ward and/or medical ward. that's the 3 i guess. as PRCP approaches as well, i am more confident in putting up IV lines, preparing I/M medications(god knows how horribly that went in assessment in year 2), ECG(from dont know placement to able to intepret just abit) and many2 more. i guess for nursing that is "practice really makes perfect" and that is no such thing as 1 time perfect. its a gradual improvement and what makes nursing unique is there is never ending in perfecting a technique no matter how simple or easy or basic it is.
till next time folks...adios!!
